Strategic Partnerships - what does it mean? How can we start building strong alliances? What is the benefit when it comes to the brand and business?

While some businesses may be hesitant to partner with other companies due to fear of misalignment, not a balanced relationship or a branding disaster, it can actually be quite beneficial if done correctly. Forming the right strategic partnership can increase your efforts in two essential areas of the business -- credibility and awareness.

Be Extraordinary is thrilled to have UAPLuxxBoxAIA Queensland Chapterand Tobin Wines as partners of the event.

Jason Bird is CEO and Managing Director of Luxxbox. He founded the company in 2006, designing and manufacturing furniture, lighting, and objects for both commercial and domestic use. With a long and varied career, accolades and exhibitions in Los Angeles, London, New York, Tokyo and Australia, Jason’s skills are channeled into Luxxbox's unique aesthetic version of the urban design.

His career launched in architectural lighting in Australia before relocating to the US, designing for several major US manufacturers. Returning home to his own practice; he focused on designs embodying a visual display of strength exploring the negative space. Using unconventional materials, industrial finishes, colours and production techniques they push boundaries to make a unique style statement. Jason's intimate knowledge of lighting design and manufacture have also seen him receive international awards for his large-scale public and custom lighting installations. His company Luxxbox has become a significant manufacturer exporting his designs throughout Asia, Europe, and North America.

Jason has received numerous national and international awards for furniture and lighting including the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York (2010, 2015); London Design Festival (2010,2011); and Tokyo Design Tide (2010). In 2013 Jason authored Hightide: Queensland Design Now, a comprehensive showcase of Queensland design. He has also been on the Board of the Brisbane Powerhouse Performing Arts precinct since 2013, a fellow of the Design Institute of Australia and a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of America.
